Located in the lower level of the lodge at the base of the hill our Pro Shop can get you out on the hill quickly with the equipment you need. The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will exhilarate you with amazing big-screen stories and take you away to the most captivating places on earth when it comes to Huntsville's Algonquin Theatre at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, January 24 and Wednesday, January 25, 2011. Each evening will feature a different selection of films. Stay tuned to our blog, film descriptions will be posted by mid-December. Tickets go on sale November 30. Winter Family Fun Day - Saturday Feb 11th 2012 - Oxtongue Lake, Highway #60 - FREE
Algonquin Outfitters annual Winter fun day will get you excited about winter! Join us for an activity-packed day with something for everyone. With all the activities we have planned there's no reason to not get out there and enjoy a Muskoka winter.
The day starts off with scheduled dog sled rides through the woods that boarder Oxtongue lake. There's lots of fun things like Winter games, snowshoe hikes, races and all kinds of things for the kids to enjoy. For the more serious winter adventurer there's Nordic ski lessons, a wilderness snowshoe adventure, and all kinds of winter camping demos.
The day wouldn't be complete without our outdoor BBQ, relax in some Muskoka chairs around the camp fire. We also have some wonderful sales in our store and we even give away prizes just for showing up.
Almost everything is Free too on this day; free snowshoeing, free games, free Nordic ski lessons and more.
Reel Paddling Film Festival - Wed July 4th 2012 - Algonquin Theatre, Huntsville
Experience all the wonderfully wet adventure this film festival delivers each spring. Algonquin Outfitters and AO Boatwerks brings this festival to the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville and also to Haliburton.
From the huge drops and aerial maneuvers of whitewater kayaking to the exotic locations and huge water of adventure touring, even wilderness exploration from our beloved canoe makes this film festival the one to see for every paddler out there.
